Proof Of Concept

is a short and/or incomplete realization (or synopsis) od a certain method or idea(s) to demonstrate its deasibility or a demonstration in priciple, whose purpose is to verify that some concept or theory is probably capable of exploitation in a useful manner.

Projects

  1. XSLTProcessor extension

Proof Of Concept idea is to check whether it's possible to provide custom (identified by prefix) processing tags to XSL transformations done with PHP's XSL extension. If you like the file, please consider digging it.

  2. This site

First proof of concept project is running this site. It's to test many things i'll write about later. As with all PoC projects: it's incomplete. Far from being ready. I will work on it though.

Entry

the site is up - almost running

Well... the sit is up and running. Almost. As with all Proof Of Concept projects it's starts with very basic, raw implementation and wether it proves useful it'll be expanded. Currently most links don't go anywhere and there is hardly any content.

There is one thing interesting though (about the site). It looks exactly the same in all major browsers (tested in IE6, IE7, FF2, Konqueror (WebKit so safari should be fine too)) with only one valid CSS without any browser specyfic hacks.

Please do look at site's first (ok second; site was first...) project on extending XSLTProcessor. If you do a lot of XSL transformations with PHP you might find it interesting and it's only 15 minutes worth reading.
